MEET THE TEAM

We have a key team of people who are passionate about what they do, and ultimately are responsible for what McIntosh DBR create through their enthusiasm.

A range of experience sits with our team, from involvement with multi-million pound projects to detailed plumbing and heating installations, so we know we have all the bases covered.

GEOFF SHARP  – CHAIRMAN

Geoff Sharp is McIntosh DBR’s chairman and has spent the best part of the last two decades in the construction industry establishing and expanding the company.

Geoff’s keen eye for detail and ability to take a holistic approach to all of the company’s projects mean that McIntosh DBR’s work is always conducted sympathetically with both the building and grounds in question itself, and also, the general style and history of the surrounding area too.

Geoff has a passion for classic cars and fine wine, and also enjoys spending time with his family.

DOM SHARP  – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Dom is Geoff’s son, and McIntosh DBR’s managing director. Dom oversees all of the company’s projects and heads up the firm’s team of project managers to ensure that everything goes to plan, offering advice and guidance as needed.

Having started from the bottom as a site labourer, Dom has worked in the housing industry for 17 years, and has a thorough understanding of every aspect of the business from the bottom up!

Whether the task at hand be a luxury new build, restoration project or commercial construction, Dom has a special talent for turning his clients’ visions into reality, using both his creative and practical skills to ensure that all of our projects are completed to the most exacting of standards.

SIMON KING  – Operations & Contracts Manager

Simon King is McIntosh DBR’s  operations/contracts manager, and has almost twenty years of experience in all areas of contracting. Simon qualified as a building surveyor at De Montfort University in Leicester before settling in the West Country, where he begun working with a small local building contractor and simultaneously qualifying as a quantity surveyor.

He then put his newly acquired skills to work for one of the UK’s largest national contractors as a project manager and quantity surveyor, before finding his true calling in the field of contract management. A decade of contract management experience and several promotions later, Simon joined McIntosh DBR as our operations/contracts manager.

Simon is also married with two young children, and has a passion for classic cars.

CARL WYNN – SITE MANAGER

Carl is an experienced, enthusiastic project manager with over 30 years of diverse experience in all types of construction whether that be framed structures, steel, concrete, timber or traditional build.

Whilst on site Carl has a “Can Do” attitude with a hands-on approach, he has previously overseen the successful delivery of projects whilst controlling target costs, quality and program.

STEVE EVANS – SITE MANAGER

Steve joined McIntosh DBR’s team in 2015 to work on one of our luxury new build projects. Steve brings a wealth of experience with him from the contracting world, having worked on projects up to £25m for Balfour Beatty, Cowlins and Carrillion.

Steve key roles on each project is to deliver the clients requirements, to the quality expected, within budget, managing all Health & Safety, assisting in procurement and managing resources.

JAMES HABERSHON – SITE MANAGER

Having worked for Knight Frank International Residential at their HQ on Baker Street London, James moved to Somerset to work in construction.

James has managed many build projects from refurbishments, to challenging restoration and new builds. He works closely with his clients orchestrating their projects from planning to completion.

MARTYN TRIBBECK – SITE MANAGER

Martyn recently joined McIntosh DBR as a site manager and he has previously managed projects in a variety of construction sectors including development, commercial, restoration and refurbishment.

Always looking for a different and independent element, he has an eye for great design and detail. He has recently completed the project management of 3 projects in Bradford-on-Avon and Bristol with a combined valued of £10 million and he is now ready for this new challenge at McIntosh DBR.
