The owners of Carrot Hill came to us with their plans; they had an empty plot, their dream house already designed by a leading London architect, and they were itching to get going.

The project was taken on as a ‘design & build’ as the client lived outside the UK and wanted us to envelop the full responsibility for the project. This large family home needed to be built to exacting standards and follow the Code for Sustainable homes at Code 5 to become a zero-imprint property.

Dealing with the client was regular over Skype and photographic updates were imperative to keep the client fed with information. There were design elements on the house that required great deliberation due to the workability and practicality, which was all dealt with in-house.

Any information missing or clashes with design details from the original architects drawings were overcome using local designers and engineers where necessary. We used our local team of tradesmen to undertake the various packages and stages of the build whilst working to our internal programme and we delivered the house to the client as agreed and on-time.

Carrot Hill is an overwhelming success and the clients are ecstatic with the result. The house is due to be entered into the building awards early next year.
