In the heart of the beautiful city of Bath is a brand new award-winning cocktail bar; Sub13. We worked closely with owners Alex Miller and Tim Whelehan, who had an unusual yet sensational vision for design, making the project extremely enjoyable.

Having completed many high-end retail spaces in the past and with a network of professional trades for all the different jobs, some being very intricate and knowing how to manage everyone efficiently and to a tight programme, we were the perfect team for the job.

Nestled in the beautiful county of Somerset is The Litton, formally known as The Kings Arms. Walk past this venue, and you will see a stunning building, steeped in history and bursting with personality. The building itself shows the fruits of hard labour, as over the past two years the 500-year-old property has undergone a full restoration.

It has been a long, challenging, yet undoubtedly rewarding restoration project, which was undertaken by ourselves, one of Somerset’s leading building contractors.

When we first arrived at Summerlane House the house was looking very tired and outdated. The house itself dates from the 1600’s and there were elements that were covered up and unappreciated. Having had no work done to it since the 1940s it was damp, unloved and in need of a full renovation inside and out.

The couple that own the house had a very clear vision as to what they wanted and we worked with them very closely to ensure their goals were achieved. They lived onsite in one of the rooms whilst we renovated one of the outbuildings into a charming one bedroom cottage, they then moved into the cottage and enjoyed working on the renovation project in comfort.

Bean Hill Farm is located near the popular town of Bruton in Somerset. The property had been given a makeover a decade ago however the new owner’s vision was to increase and maximise the available space in the house, and most importantly take advantage of the stunning views across the valley. McIntosh DBR were brought in to undertake works to the new kitchen extension and full refurbishment of the existing barn which neighboured the house. The two spaces would be then connected via a new glazed link.

We have enjoyed the pleasure of working for Babington House for the past 3 years and the work is ongoing. We understand the pressures of keeping the guests happy and appreciate that certain jobs need to be completed within tight schedules.

We were recommended to a lovely couple from overseas who had recently purchased The Grange. It is a lovely secluded property and had been recently renovated and extended, however the work was not quite up to the new owners’ satisfaction and the interior design lacked flair and was missing something special.

These new offices sit on the location of an old farmyard in the heart of Somerset. Having sat dormant for so long our client decided to breathe life into an unused part of the Somerset countryside, and the vision was to use the footprint of the original farm to create modern and unique office space for an expanding and cutting-edge company. McIntosh DBR were given the task of delivering the full package, from planning to completion.

Originally built in 1365, Knowle Farm was purchased from owners who had not understood the need of the building. Over-extended and disguised with the wrong detailing the house was not as it should have been.

Stemming from a recommendation via Babington House, this local and tired 16th Century Coaching Inn was in need of some rejuvenation and the new owners came to us for some help in making their plan a reality. The clients had the concept, and we had the ability and manpower to deliver the building to them just as they pictured.

The Manor House at Chantry was a wreck when we first looked at it. Open to the elements for 3 years it had suffered the weather and was in a ruinous state. The client lived in Shanghai and had little time to spend dealing with the property, so we were given full responsibility to renovate and breath life into the old building
